radians

Converts an angle in degrees to radians exactly.

radians(x) multiplies the input by pi/180. Symbolic inputs remain exact rather than being converted to a decimal approximation.

Examples

These examples use Nerdamer Notation.

Convert a half-turn to pi radians.

radians(180)
// → pi

Convert 45 degrees to an exact fraction of pi.

radians(45)
// → (1/4)*pi

Keep a symbolic degree measure exact.

radians(x)
// → (1/180)*x*pi
