log10

Returns the base-10 logarithm of an expression.

log10(x) uses Nerdamer's logarithm implementation with base 10, preserving symbolic input when it cannot be reduced exactly.

Examples

These examples use Nerdamer Notation.

Evaluate an exact power of ten.

log10(1000)
// → 3

Reduce a larger exact power of ten.

log10(10^7)
// → 7

Represent an unresolved symbolic base-10 logarithm exactly.

log10(x)
// → log(x)*log(10)^-1
