gamma_incomplete_lower

Computes the lower incomplete gamma function.

gamma_incomplete_lower(a,z) represents γ(a,z). Positive integer values of a use γ(a,z)=Γ(a)-Γ(a,z); other inputs remain symbolic.

Examples

These examples use Nerdamer Notation.

Use the simplest lower incomplete gamma case.

gamma_incomplete_lower(1,x)
// → 1-e^(-x)

Show the exact complement of the upper incomplete gamma result for a=3.

gamma_incomplete_lower(3,x)
// → 2-2*e^(-x)*(1+x+(1/2)*x^2)

Expand the lower incomplete gamma function for a=4.

gamma_incomplete_lower(4,x)
// → 6-6*e^(-x)*(1+x+(1/2)*x^2+(1/6)*x^3)
